Clinical Work up after Shunt Installation

·                    Verifying Kidneys (by specialist, Lab. Results, Sonography, Radiography and CT-Scan)

·                    Verifying the Heart function (by specialist, Echocardiography and Echo-Color Doppler)

·                    Frequent Blood Biochemistry Tests showed just only increasing trend in S.G.P.T (up to 230) but other indicators were normal.

·                    Complete Urine Tests showed no abnormalities (24 hours Copper, Culture)

·                    Several CSF Tests showed normal shunt function and no infection (frequent examinations, Direct and Culture, Viral and Fungal Culture and Cytopathology shows some reactional cells)

·                    Ascitis Fluid Cytology, TB, Direct, and culture showed no abnormalities.

·                    Frequent EEGs

·                    Doppler Sonography showed no abnormalities, obstruction or thrombosis in Hepatic veins, IVC and Portal veins

·                    Liver Venography approved Doppler results

·                    Liver Spleen showed normal liver function

·                    MRI with injection showed no change in tumor shape, size or position 

·                    CT-Scan before shunt pumping (Jun 29,2001 Image 1 and Image 2) and after shunt pumping (Jul 10,2001 Image 1 and Image 2)
