Dear Ghavari Good night, and I wish for your son to improve as soon as possible.I think the quantity of sodium and potassium are acceptable. and about the fever we should exclude the infection especially the fungus and I told to Dr. yadegari about using of amphotricin b but he said the patient do not need to it. .. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, S M Alavian,MD Director, Tehran Hepatitis Center President, Faculty of Medicine Baqiatalah Medical Sciences University Tehran, Iran 14155/3651 post box 0098218963863 sm_alavian@alavian-thc.org .. -----Original Message----- From: Behzad Gharavi <bgharavi@yahoo.com> To: sm_alavian@alavian-thc.org <sm_alavian@alavian-thc.org> Date: Wednesday, June 20, 2001 9:56 PM Subject: Parham Gharavi Dear Dr Alavian, I thank you by my heart for kindness and visiting my son, Parham, this morning. Today morning we negotiated about the future of Parham’s illness and his medication plan. I’m fully aware of the difficulty and complexity of accepting my son’s responsibility with marked complication that has ranked him as a problem case. I try my best to analyze the situation from the point of view of a physician: a patient with fever complication, which logically diminishes the chance of success for the physicians. Meanwhile considerably needs more time than a normal patient. So, although I’m his father, I attend to be just in judgment. During the last 2 months I have witnessed having interest for activity and spending time in this situation is somehow difficult for some physicians. Honestly speaking I have made myself ready to hear and accept this reasoning for many physicians how has visited Parham (and so from you) your agreement and admission to assist us in this critical situation his perceived as a reflection of rooted and powerful human value in your character which lights up the lengthy night imposed on my son. I again appreciate your attitude and through these sentences try to emphasize that we are aware of what is going on. I hope you will make the last step and will let me to know how to deal with you and compensate a little portion of your kindness and attention in this mutual activity in future, which maybe even sometimes needed to beg you to visit him at home. At the end I want to inform you that hole “work up” which so far have been done for Parham during last 6 months (from the diagnosing the brain tumor) including MRIs, CT-Scans, Lab. Results, Doppler Images, Venography and etc. has been uploaded into an internet site at the address below: http://afshing.virtualave.net And my last question because of increasing drowsiness during the last 2 days, a blood test has been taken today which shows, Na: 130, K: 4.3, and also during the last 2 weeks because of 3200 cc parasantitis he has experienced about 5 kg. Weight lose and now he is 25 kg.. I look for any guidance to increase his sodium and weight if necessary. I would highly appreciate your response. With respect, Sincerely yours, Behzad Gharavi
