Dear Dr Taba Tabaii,
Thank you for your e-mail. I would be very happy ta take
care of your CF patient, the child Mahboobeh.
Nevertheless, I need more information about this
patient. He is dependant on which type of ventilation? I suppose he is
not intubated. I think the best option for this patient is to come in
Paris for a pretransplantation assessment ,and to stay in Paris for the
transplantation. We have two options for the transplantation, a
cadaveric one which sounds the best option and the transplantation from
living donors,(family donors).
In 2002, I have transplanted a patient, a young girl ,
from Teheran. She is doing very well and I think you may have
interesting information from Mrs Kambozia, regarding the organization
for such an Iranien patient.
I will be in Abu Dhabi the 24th of January 2003 for a
full week, and I wonder if I could see your patient in Teheran during
this week during a very short visit? Just let me know if we can organize
this visit. I could see the patient, the family and all the medical
notes, so we could advise for the care of this patient.
I wish you a happy new year and looking forward to
hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Pr Jean-Paul Couëtil |
